17hats Pricing 2026, $60 a Month and Add-Ons
September 2026 · 7 min read · by the Earnly team
17hats costs $60 a month, $600 a year or $800 for two years, all on one plan with every core feature. If you buy without taking the 7-day trial, the first year is half price: $300 on the yearly plan or $400 for the two-year plan. Add-ons raise the bill: Bank Connect is $5 a month, time tracking $5, each extra user $5 and each extra brand $10. Payments run through your own Stripe or Square account at their rates.
We read the 17hats pricing page on September 28, 2026. Two things on it are worth knowing before you buy. The FAQ still points HoneyBook users to a "Sweet Escape Sale" for switchers, and the sale page currently says there is no sale running. And while the top of the page describes a single all-inclusive plan, the feature grid below still shows three columns from the older level structure. Both are covered below, with a year of real cost for three kinds of business.
17hats pricing, every way to pay
| Billing | List price | Per month | First purchase without trial | Per month, first term |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $60 a month | $60 | Not discounted | $60 |
| Yearly | $600 a year | $50 | $300 for the first year | $25 |
| Bi-yearly | $800 for two years | $33.33 | $400 for the two-year plan | $16.67 |
All prices are in USD. Monthly billing costs $720 over a year, so the yearly plan saves $120 at list price and the two-year plan saves $640 against paying monthly for 24 months. The half-price offer is the real decision point: $300 for a full year is less than HoneyBook Starter billed yearly ($348) and less than Dubsado Starter ($335). It applies when you buy outright instead of starting the trial, and 17hats backs it with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so the risk is small if you already know you want the tool.
Contacts and projects are unlimited on every billing option. You never pay more because you booked more clients, which is the main thing that separates 17hats from tools like Plutio Core (9 active clients) or FreshBooks Lite (5 billable clients).
The 17hats add-ons that change your bill
The single price covers the core: contacts, projects, quotes, contracts with e-signature, invoices, questionnaires, lead capture forms, to-dos, a calendar, reports and the mobile app. Several things sit outside it as monthly add-ons:
| Add-on | Price | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bank Connect | $5 a month | Pulls expenses from your bank account into 17hats automatically |
| Time Tracking | $5 a month | Billable and non-billable time, hourly rates set per project |
| Additional users | $5 a month each | Assign tasks to team members with limited permissions |
| Additional brands | $10 a month each | Run a second business and share templates across brands |
| Online scheduling upgrades | Listed at $5 and $10 a month in the grid | Basic scheduling covers one service; advanced adds pay at booking and Zoom links |
For most solo owners the add-ons that matter are Bank Connect and time tracking. Together they are $120 a year, which moves the real list price from $600 to $720. A consultant who bills hours needs time tracking. A photographer who pays for gear and travel on a business card and wants expenses in the same place needs Bank Connect. Anyone who needs clients to pay a deposit at the moment they book a session will want the advanced scheduling add-on.
What a year of 17hats really costs
| Setup | Year one, bought outright | Every year after, yearly plan | Paying monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo owner, core plan only | $300 | $600 | $720 |
| Solo consultant with Bank Connect and time tracking | $420 | $720 | $840 |
| Owner plus two users, Bank Connect, and a second brand | $600 | $900 | $1,020 |
We assumed the half-price offer applies to the plan only and that add-ons bill at full price from day one, which is how the page presents it. The jump from year one to year two is the number to plan for: a solo consultant pays $420 up front and then $720 a year after that. If you compare 17hats against a tool on its standard price, compare the second-year figure, not the first.
Does 17hats charge transaction fees?
17hats does not list a payment fee of its own on its pricing page. Invoices and online payments run through a Stripe or Square account you connect, so you pay that processor's rate. On Stripe's standard US pricing that is 2.9% + $0.30 per card payment, so a $2,000 card payment costs $58.30. That is almost exactly what HoneyBook charges on a standard card ($58.25 at 2.9% + $0.25).
The gap opens on bank transfers. HoneyBook charges a flat 1.5% on ACH with no cap, so a $2,000 transfer costs $30 and a $5,000 transfer $75. Stripe's ACH rate is 0.8% capped at $5. If your clients pay large balances by bank transfer, check that ACH payments are enabled for invoices in your Stripe account before you rely on that saving. Tipping, saved cards, recurring invoices and payment schedules all require Stripe or Square as the processor.
The pricing grid still shows three levels
17hats used to sell three levels. The top of today's pricing page says there is "one all inclusive plan" that gives you nearly everything you need. The comparison grid further down still has three columns, and in some of them features are marked as missing: the client portal, to-do workflows, the profit and loss report, email read receipts, removal of 17hats branding and document reminders. Lead capture forms are listed as 1, 3 and 20 across the columns. One row even says the 17hats logo is removed "with Level Two and Three".
Most likely the grid is simply out of date. Still, a feature list is a promise, and this one is inconsistent. If you rely on the client portal, workflows or the profit and loss report, use the 7-day trial to confirm they are on your account before you buy the yearly plan, or buy outright and lean on the 30-day money-back guarantee.
17hats vs HoneyBook and Dubsado on price
| Tool | Month to month | Yearly | Users | Payments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 17hats | $60 | $600 ($300 year one) | Extra users $5 a month each | Stripe or Square rates |
| HoneyBook Starter | $36 | $348 | Owner only | Built in, ACH 1.5% no cap |
| HoneyBook Essentials | $59 | $588 | Up to 2 | Built in, ACH 1.5% no cap |
| Dubsado Starter | $35 | $335 | Owner plus 3 | Stripe, Square or PayPal rates |
| Dubsado Premier | $55 | $525 | Owner plus 3 | Stripe, Square or PayPal rates |
| Plutio Core | $19 | About 2 months free | Solo, 9 active clients | Your connected account |
Month to month, 17hats is the most expensive of the group. On a yearly plan it lands between Dubsado Premier and HoneyBook Essentials, and in year one it is the cheapest full-featured option here. What you get for the price is everything unlocked at once. HoneyBook keeps automations and the QuickBooks Online sync on Essentials, and Dubsado keeps scheduling and workflows on Premier, while 17hats includes workflows, lead forms and the QuickBooks Online integration in the one plan. We compared all of these tools, plus Bonsai and FreshBooks, on a full year of cost in HoneyBook alternatives, and the two biggest names head to head in HoneyBook vs Dubsado pricing.
Is 17hats worth $60 a month?
At $60 month to month, only if you need it for a short stretch. At $600 a year, or $300 in the first year, it is fair value for a solo service business that wants quotes, contracts, invoices, questionnaires, workflows and bookkeeping-lite reports in one place without tier upgrades. It suits coaches, planners, photographers and consultants who work alone or with one assistant.
It is a weaker fit in three cases. If you are a studio of four or five people, Dubsado's included users make it cheaper. If you want a polished client experience with payments that work the day you sign up, HoneyBook is smoother. And if what you really need is proper books, with a ledger and bank reconciliation, 17hats' reports are a snapshot of your sales and expenses, not an accounting system. A lender or an investor will want real statements, and you can turn a bookkeeping export into a proper profit and loss statement rather than sending a CRM report.
What 17hats does not track
17hats sees the money that goes through its invoices. Many solo service businesses also earn somewhere else: a photographer selling presets on Gumroad, a coach with a course on Teachable, a planner with a YouTube channel or a Patreon. Each of those platforms pays on its own schedule, after its own fees, and the only trace in 17hats is a bank deposit that Bank Connect might pull in without the fee detail.
Earnly tracks that side. Every platform payout sits on one board with gross, fees and take-home, a payout calendar shows when each platform will pay, and the next-month forecast is labeled as an estimate. Its invoice tracker keeps client invoices and overdue balances in the same view, so you can see the full year's income in one number. Earnly does not send contracts or process payments, so it runs beside 17hats rather than replacing it. Earnly plans start at $12 a month billed yearly.

Earnly lines up every payout from every platform, itemizes the fee breakdown per platform, and puts every expected pay date on a payout calendar.
